How to Make Tab and add links to that Tab in Netsuite?

Hi All,

My Friend "Aaron" has a requirement where he want to show some website as a inline html in Portlet or suitelet but as it was not https URL so browser blocks the content. Now to enable it, user should disable security which is probably not a good idea.

Now the question is how to show it inside Netsuite or an easily available link which user can click and go to that webpage/URL.

Netsuite provide functionality where you can make a tab and links under that tab and add URL to those links/tab. when user click on that it will open the URL. This functionality is very useful if you are making a product/bundle and want to show guide/suitelets/webpages/configuration etc for your product.

How to start?
You can create Tabs and Links is 3 simple steps as below:

Step1: Make  " Custom Center Links "

       

     Go to Customization -- Centers and Tabs --> Center Links , Add Label and URL , if you have more than one URL to show add all one by one and provide provide name. Hit submit and Save Center Links.

Step 2: Add "Custom Center Link"s to  "Center Category "

 Go to customization --> Centers and Tabs -->  Add label , select Center type and center tab and select  "insert before"(optional) then add Center Categories, add all links which you created in step 1 one by one and Save. If you want to change name you can change here.

Step 3: Make "Center Tabs"

   Go to Customization --> Centers and Tabs --> Center Tabs , add Label, id and center , after that add categories ids which will be like  "custcentercategorySomeThing" , You can add Label too and hit save.

Tab will show with label you provided and all links will be visible when you mouse hover.

That all you need.
