Netsuite's Bill of Materials Revision

BOM Revision

Hi ,
                               
This feature is available when "Advanced Bill of Materials" feature is enabled on the Items & Inventory subtab at Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

 BOM Revision enables user to update BOM, BOM Revision also keep revision history which can be tracked by user.
Lets say a car company is releasing new version of car which is more efficient, they can use BOM Revision to update existing BOM.

To create BOM Revision
Go to Lists > Supply Chain > Bills of Materials
click view
On the Revisions subtab, click Create New Revision.
Enter a revision Name.
Set Memo
Set Effective Start Date and Effective End Date
*** Not entering an effective end date may affect future BOM revisions.
Save 
You can add components by clicking on Revision record.
