Netsuite Opportunity

Hi All,

Wondering what is Opportunity means in Netsuite, how it related to other records.

Opportunity is first interaction between Sales Rep and Prospect/Customer , Sales rep create opportunity record with items based on prospect/customer interest. Opportunity have a very crucial feature called Probability.
 Sales rep enters probability percentage , Closed Won is 100% and Closed Lost is 0%. There can be multiple estimate for an opportunity until opportunity is not closed won.This is first step of Order to cash process. Opportunity is non posting transaction which means there will be no GL impact.

Go to
Transactions > Sales> Create Opportunities.

Mandatory Fields:
Custom Form
Currency
Department
Entity/Company
Status
Exchange Rate
Expected Close
Probability
Projected Total
Item on Line Level

Opportunity Glimpse:
Opportunity in Netsuite
Opportunity
 You can add task , event and other information related to it. You can create estimate, sales order, cash sale and invoice from opportunity record.
You can email , attach file, letter etc in opportunity.
