4 ways to deploy from sandbox to production

Hi All,

We often develop solutions in sandbox and deploy it to production. This solution can be anything like customization, scripts, workflows, custom objects, custom fields, custom scripts, saved search, report etc. 

Do you know how many ways you can deploy from sandbox to production?

1. Simple Checklist: Checklist is simple document which contains detail about customization. Use proper heading to define customization type. Explain about each customization properly and if needed add screenshots.Use this format for reference.

 2. Using Bundle: You can create bundle , include all objects and save bundle. Once saved, go to availability of bundle , click on shared , enter account id and save. Your bundle is ready to install. However Netsuite is going to stop bundle update soon. Bundling customization also has a challenge. if your work reference to any customization which is already in production, bundle install will try to install that again, there are 2 option either replace old object or copy. Object can be anything script, workflow, searches etc.

3. Copy to Account: This is new feature introduced recently. To use this feature, in your account:
     a) SDF should be enabled
     b) Copy to account should be enabled
     c) Target account should use same version as account you copy from
     d) Only Administrator can copy to account.
